4 people 2 rooms in Rome!!!!??

Going to Rome with my husband and two kids (7 and 10) anyone know of any hotel where I can get one room for four people. I need something very centrally located, and want a single room that's under $300 Euros.

For under 300 Euro, you could get a big, high end, 2 bedroom apt. in the historical center - with much more space than a quad hotel room. Have you already considered this??

I'm not sure what the price is these days (we paid about $250 in 3/01), but the Santa CHiara has a quad/family room (a 2 room suite). Email is [email protected]. Website is www.albergosantachiara.com (which has recently changed and I find very difficult to navigate). Other hotels that have quads are la residenza and due torre.

Here's a place between 250 and 315 Euros a night (depending on season): 2 bedrooms/2 baths/living-dining rm/kitchen/master bedroom balcony. rooftop terrace & garden is shared w/ the other apts. It's 7 blocks north the Roman Forum and Colossium.

We had a quad at DesArtistes near the train station for about $200 a night last summer. My boys are 14 and 15. It was very nice, included a breakfast, internet connectiong, and we walked everywhere.

Just booked 4 doubles during the most expensive week in July at the Regent. Havent been there or seen it, but looks ok. Its a 4star and seemed like the best deal at $95/night.

If it's the Hotel Regent in Parioli, it is a bit far out from the main sights. But if you don't mind a little travel time to get to the center of the city, then it's probably fine.

bock64,
I will be staying at Hotel San Carlo in June (room 77) with my husband & daughters, ages 7 & 9. It is a quad with private bath, terrace, a/c and breakfast for 235 Euros incl tax. I chose this hotel based on feedback both here & at tripadvisor.com. It is located near Spanish Steps. Good luck!
