4 hrs enough to make connection from CDG to orly ?

For those who regularly go to Paris/France, please help :-)
I will be taking my mom to Lourdes/Paris in March. The AF schedule arrives at CDG at 11:45am. I'm thingking of taking the flight from Orly to Lourdes at 4:15 pm.
Will we have enough time to make the connection (after collecting luggage & taking the AF bus for transfer) from CDG to Orly ?
Thanks in advance!

That's pretty tight. If you figure 1 hour to get through immigration, 1½ hour to get to Orly, and 1 hour to get checked in and searched, you've used up 3½ hours.

Any unexpected delay could blow your schedule into a cocked hat. But if the entire itinerary was booked through Air France, they have to get you to your destination on the next available flight if you miss the connection.

I believe the AF bus is free if both legs are on their aircraft; ask an agent if this is correct.

I would NEVER try such a short connection -- unless the two flights are booked on the same ticket. Then they will put you on another flight if you miss your connection.

But if booked on seperate itineraries - no way. If you miss your flight you eat the 2nd ticket and will have to pay full walk-up fare for a new one.

The way security, traffic, check in snafu's can happen - just to many points where you can be delayed.

Thank u for the replies.
The other option is to take the train to Lourdes, but the arrival time at LDE is close to midnite. Is the statiun safe?
I could book BOS-LDE & CDG-BOS legs w/ AF, but this may still not be convincing?
Any other suggestion is welcome.
Thanks again.

I think it's possible, but wouldn't count on it. Why don't you get a different flight to Paris, there are zillions of flights from the US that arrive before 11:45 am, including many AF flights, as I take them. I realize if you want a nonstop from Boston, maybe that's the only one, but you could go from JFK or something and get there early in the morning.

Alternatively, why don't you just get an AF flight from CDG to Lourdes, they have plenty.

The last time we were in Paris, we waited over one hour for the Air France bus. During that time, other AF busses came by, just not the one we needed.
