4 Days trip to Malaga Spain
 

I will be on business trip next month to Bristol England (Mon-Thursday) and am planning to make a short /side trip to Malaga Spain (Friday-Mon) before returning back at Asia.

I need some good recommendation and tip for the following.

1. Recommended flight Bristol to Malaga
2. Hotel ? prefer near the
3. Place to visit?, Food to eat? things to do?
4. Others pls..

From Malaga airport you can take the train to Malaga centre, just 11 minutes journey and 1,80 euros.

Go to the east of Malaga in Pedregalejo or El Palo where the best fish is served.

When you wrote, Hotel prefer near the...you didn´t finish it, so where do you prefer it?

When next month? Semanta Santa, the Holy Week celebration, is from the 20th to the 28th of March this year. Málaga will be very busy.

I stayed at the Molina Larios. Great location.
Not far away is a huge indoor fruit and veg market that also has a fish market area to it. Fun to look around it.
Also I climbed up to the Castillo Gilbralfaro that had great views of the city and the sea.
The Alcazaba amphitheater and ruins are interesting also.
You might be interested in the Picasso museum and just walking around the area to the lighthouse is beautiful.
I really liked the city.

MarthaT the market is called Mercado de Atarazanas, with its arabian arch. You can also find some nice bars on the corners.

Atarazanas means 'a place where ships are repaired'.

It may be hard to believe when you're slap-bang in the middle of one of the city's busiest thoroughfares, but the Mediterranean once lapped at the walls of this former fourteenth-century shipyard. The sea once covered most of what is today Málaga's main boulevard, the Alameda Principal.

Very comfortable rooms, excellent included buffet breakfast, good service, and just a short walk to the centro historico (500 meters or less). Very reasonable rates.

Like everything else associated with TA, restaurant reviews tend to be unreliable. "Salsa de chiles" by Carlos Maribona, is far better.

And "Dining Secrets of Andalucia" isn't bad either (www.diningsecretsofandalucia.com). It's written by professional local critics.

We were going to skip it but have recently added Malaga to our 3 week Andalucia April itinerary based on the enthusiastic comments in this forum. Staying at the Molina Larios. Great to get all the food tips. Since we are in Spain for a month (a week in Madrid) we need to keep an eye on costs plus we don't like eating big meals in the evening we will likely try to find prix fixe larger lunches around 2 pm and have tapas type dinners. Does this make sense? Thank you for any advice.

You'll find a number of excellent gastro bars and small plates restaurants in Málaga where you can share a plate or to in the evening. We thought Souvi Tapería Gastronómica at Calle Afligidos, 3, in Málaga was well worth the stop one evening. Stop in the bar at El Pimpi for a few of their classic tapas. And Restaurante La Reserva 12, at Calle Bolsa, 12, is good for small plates in the evening, lunch or dinner.

Any affordable (I.e.150€ per night) but decent accommodation within Malaga city that you can suggest?

What are the available public transport to consider or can I explore city by foot?

I watch the YouTube re the market and I will make sure I'll this place .

This is my first time to visit Malaga so every bit of your tip and suggestion will goes a long way....
