Marko, I hope you and your family enjoy your trip, but if I were lucky enough to live in Queensland, I don't think I would ever want to leave. I was in Brisbane, and also spent eight days in Noosa Heads on my trip three years ago. Hastings Street in Noosa is a bit like the street cafe scene you will find on Santorini, one of the things that draw me back to the Greek islands every year.
I haven't finalized my plans for my next trip to Australia yet. I am torn between going in Oct and spending some time in north Queensland, or waiting until Jan and splitting my time between the Sunshine Coast and NSW again.

Heimdall, Aussies seem to have been infected with a large dose of wanderlust, probably because we are so far away from anywhere !! I also would recommend the Whitsundays, absolutely superb !! Noosa is also very good, don't miss the hinterland, the area around Maleny is lovely !

Thank you Aussies for your last replies. It makes me even more eager to return to your beautiful country. The Whitsundays sound very appealing, so that will go near the top of my list of places to visit.

I've been to Santorini twice, and the last time I was there for 6 days; it was great to have some unscheduled days. One of the neat things to do is boating; try chartering Santorini Sailing for a day or half. Also be sure to visit the ruins at Akotiri.

It really depends on your personal preference. We spent 5 nights there in early October and loved it. Took the ferry from Athens, rented a car (cheap) at the port in Santorini, then stayed in Oia. We spent time at each of the beaches-black beach, red beach, white beach, drove all around, and relaxed. It was one of our best vacations.

2 Nights - Mykonos
4 Nights - Naxos
3 Nights - Santorini
2 Night - Athens .
Is the plan ok ? Should i do Santorini first and reverse the order or should i keep it for the last ? Should i spend 4 nights in Naxos or 4 Nights in Santorini ??
