4 days ininerary in Scotland

We will be travelling to UK for 10 days. We are planning to spend 4 days in London, 1 day trip to Bath and 1 day to Stonehendge, and go to Scotland (Galsgo) for 4 days by a night train. What itinerary would you suggest for Scotland ?

Galsgo? Do you mean Glasgow?

Its Stonehenge - but more important is Glasgow.

OK - you chose Glasgow for some reason. Is there a reason you are taking the train to Glasgow instead of Edinburgh?

Also - we can't really give useful suggestions w/o knowing what sorts of things you enjoy and hope to see/do. Also - When is the trip? You need to help us a bit here.

(BTW - you could easily visit Bath and Stonehenge on the same day)

I meant train London - Edinburgh, not Glasgow.

Here is the full story. This is my first visit to UK, but most of my companions been to London before, so we decided on a compromise: we'll spend only 3-4 days in London, and then see the rest of the Britain. Now, what is "the rest" for 6-7 days ?

1. Bath seems like a really nice place, based on photos from this forum.

2. Stonehendge is on the way from London to Bath (at least on the map), so I guess we could visit it that way.

3. Then we could visit Edinburgh by a night train, and drive (on the wrong side, scary) from there 3 days to Inverness / Loch Ness.

So in the end I have 3 questions:

1. Does it sound reasonable ? Any better ideas (based on your personal preferences) ?

2. How to see Stonehendge on the way from London to Bath ?

3. Is there a way to get directly from Bath to Edinburgh by a nightly transportation ?

It is still Stonehenge, NOT Stonehendge. What don't you understand!!

Forgot to mention - the trip is mid-Spetember. Is it really good time to visit Highlands ?
