4 days in Zurich for the adventurous- what to do?

My family and I (all adults) will be in Zurich in early July. We are very adventurous (we like hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, etc). Does anyone have suggestions for things to do and potentially a travel group/agency for us to book stuff through?

Not sure why you want to stay in Zurich - which is primarily a business and banking center.

If I were you I would actually go and stay in the mountains - so you have easy access to hiking trails, rock climbing, etc. Not sure about other activities - I think you will need to google for them - or check out a couple of guide books - but you won't find them in the center of Zurich.

I would get out of Zurich as fast as I could and get to some other wonderful Swiss venue---I would prefer Luzern or one of the villages on that lake.

Zurich is sooooo expensive and other than the old town area and going on a lake cruise I would tend to go somewhere else in the country.

Wow! Great responses. I especially liked the link to the activities in Interlaken. Thanks! Any suggestions about accommodations in Interlaken?

Hiking at Rigi Kulm or Mt Pilatus is great! Mt Pilatus has a little adventure park with zip lines and a summer toboggan run. Easiest to get to both these places from Luzern.
