Hi all.

Need some suggestion . Our current booking in Wengen is for Sun - Mon - Tuesday night . Currently the forecast for Wengen is rain through the week starting Monday afternoon. I am guessing that means there would be no point of going to Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn .

In this case, the only chance of experiencing some white Alps would be to go to Titlis on Sunday . firdt ?

" Currently the forecast for Wengen is rain through the week starting Monday afternoon"

Actually, there doesn't exist any somewhat reliable weather forecast for the last week of May. If the weather is bad around Interlaken, it's bad on Titlis too.
For other climate zones, have a look at Valais and Ticino.

Make the most of Sunday and like neckervd says weather predictions are often wrong - very changeable climate.

Welllike neckervd says it too can always be fouled - just get to Wengen early and do the Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn on that day if clear.

a day trip to Bern is nice in bad weather -one of neatest cities in Switzerland and has covered walkways in its old town center.

I made some changes to my itinerary and heading to Wengen straight from Zurich. So instead of 1 night in Lucern and 3 nights in Wengen, I will be in Wengen for all 4 nights. I am planning a day trip to Lucern and back, 1 day to Jungfraujoch / Schilthorn and another day to Bern / some other place .

Exact details TBD based on the weather. Mainly did this so that we will have some flexibility and a single base . Hoping I will find good weather on at least one of these three days, if not too bad .

On Wednesday we are taking the scenic Golden Pass train to Montreux . Needed some input on whether it is better to just continue to Geneva ( we have our plane to London next Morning ) and spend the afternoon in Geneva or take a castle tour in Montreux and arrive in Geneva in the evening .

With that itinerary - going to Montreux highly consider the Swiss Pass - and use it on all your trains to Wengen and the Golden Pass and lake boats too - suggest going to Geneva itself -do a boat trip there perhaps. always best to be in your departure city the night before IMO though Montreux is a fairly short train ride away.

Hi all. Thanks for all your wonderful advices and specially for buying the rail pass. We had splendid 3 days in Wengen. A crystal clear day at Junfgraujoch , an awesome train ride and back from Lucerne with a bit of city walk and shopping and a local day with Gondola ride and a little hike to Manlichhen taking a Gondola down to Grindelwald , taking train to lauterbrunnen and the awesome trammelbach falls. Tomorrow we are taking the golden pass train to Montreux. I reach there at 12:15 and need to reach Geneva airport before 5:00 pm. Already sent my luggage out to Geneva airport. So I am looking for about 3hours of relaxing plan in Montreux . Don't plan to go to the castle just spending time near the lake , grab lunch perhaps take a small boat tour. Any ideas?

could take boat to Lausanne - just several miles and hop train to Geneva from there. but not much time really to do that and also look around Montreux.

Thanks. I just saw that option. But not sure if I would need reservation. Was thinking of grabbing some lunch see the flower road and then if time and energy permits and reservation not needed go to lusane by boat and take the train .
