Hi,

I just had to add another strong recommendation for the Jardins de Luxembourg (highlight for my kids trip to Paris - that and walking up the Eiffel Tower!).

We planned to spend 2 hours but ended up spending double that because there was so much to do. Amazing play structure, pony rides, renting sailboats on the pond, seeing the marionette (guignol) show, mini Statue of Liberty, etc. etc. We ended up having dinner at Le Relais de l'Entrecote which kids also really enjoyed.

I'm with Jacolis on the Jardin du Luxembourg, it's a wonderful place for young children.

Please plan for nap time and be ready to return to your hotel or apartment for a time each day. Your children might not need to nap daily but given travel, new experiences and possible heat they will be worn out some days. How will you handle this at Versailles without strollers to sleep in? Perhaps you can bring a lightweight blanket to spread out in a shady spot for a picnic lunch and nap.

We've traveled extensively with the kids - Cambodia, Vietnam , Thailand , Ireland , bali etc so used to them being off schedule but we usually go go go and they adapt so well.

Will allocate more space for the gardens and decided to bite the bullet and do Versailles.
