Hi mesia,

Given my choice, I would choose Venice over every other city you have listed, except Paris.

If I may make a suggestion:

Visit Florence (8 days), Venice (4 days) and the Amalfi Coast (6 days).

From Florence you can visit Pisa and Lucca; Siena; Bologna.

It will make a great honeymoon.

You can fly into Pisa (PSA) or Florence (FLR) train to Venice, fly to Naples for the AC and fly home from Naples.

OR

You can fly into Venice, train to Florence and train to Naples

OR

You can fly into Naples and out of Venice, Florence or Pisa.

I would not start in Rome, because it is the most intense city on your list (personallyI would skip it entirely on a first trip for that very reason).

I would definitely add Venice because it is so completely unique. Also I found it a fairly peaceful place and easy to get the hang of, since you are mostly able to get around on foot.

I would skip Geneva because it is a huge international (boring) city IMO better suited for business travel than vacationing. I'd either skip Switzerland entirely or head outside Geneva to the Lausanne, Vevey, Montreux areas along the lake (only ~1 hour outside Geneva by train).
