And, Lisa, have you been to Paris before? If you haven't, I would say, don't miss the Musee D'Orsay, Ste. Chappelle and a wonderful sidewalk cafe. Read the thread on this board about 100 things to do in Paris. And, as Ira mentions, Fodor's has a good 3-day itinerary.

Are you an art lover? If yes, the Musee D'Orsay is the first stop.
If no, Ste. Chapelle for those gorgeous windows.
If no, Ste. Chapelle.
After that, take your pick from the Fodors list.
I think seeing the Eiffel Tower is a thrill. Going up in it is so time consuming when you have limited time.

R O M A N C E If the barge trip is not private, you may not have a lot of privacy.

Take a cruise down the Seine. Go to one of the many street markets. Have a picnic in the park. Have a romantic dinner. Go listen to some music.

If you really want to maximize your time, you might even consider hiring a private guide for one or more of the days. Michael Osmond (I think that's his name-no personal experience) is often mentioned here.

BTW, you can do a text search on any subject by typing into the box above. For example, type seine cruise, click "find" & you'll get previous threads on that subject. There happens to be a recent one on that topic that's very thorough.
