We're about to get 14 days in May and I am soooo jealous of you! I've been to Paris pretty often over the years; my husband only twice and with me. Our top priorities are parks--every park in Paris--and cemeteries. We already have a copy of "Permanent Parisians: An Illustrated Guide to the Cemeteries of Paris." And the Paris catacombs, which for some reason I have never been to.

If I had your time I'd figure out how to get into unexpected, less touristy parts of the city. Set up little walking tours for myself. I might even learn to play boules and join in a game or two.

Those day excursions already mentioned? A great idea.

And I would look for all the small museums and historic locations.

Finally, I might carry a notebook and journal the whole experience. Failing that, at least Instagram it.
