3 weeks in UK and France
We are planning our first trip at the end of May. Locations I want to visit include London, Manchester and Kent, England. Would you suggest we fly into London first and then back to Canada out of Paris? Any suggestions of places to visit in France apart from Paris? We love good wine and food......

It would be helpful if we knew a bit more about what you were hoping for from your trip. Do you want to spread your time equally between the UK and France? Or is it just Paris that you want to visit? Manchester and Kent are very specific destinations and Manchester is not normally high on tourist priorities for a first trip; do you have particular reasons for selecting these places? Do you want to see museums? scenery? stately homes? If you give us a bit more about what interests you you will get more useful responses.

I'd suggest flying open jaw into Manchester and out of somewhere in France.

The places you want to visit should be in this order:
Manchester London Kent Paris You'll avoid doubling back on yourself this way. You can fly into Manchester then back to Canada from France. If you need any help with places to see, stay etc. in Manchester, let me know and I can help as a native Mancunian. |
Where in Canada are you flying from? Just interested as we are flying Paris-Calgary and back with a direct flight on Air Transat. This airline also flies direct to London from Calgary. Maybe you can use the same airline and have a ride on the Eurostar as well.(Eurostar via the Channel Tunnel to Paris).

If you could work Nice in before going to Paris, you would enjoy Nice. Unusual beach, great entertainment at night in the square, decent shopping, etc. Use Easyjet to fly into Nice and then back to Paris, and fly home from Paris.
