3 or 4 star hotel in Florence needed

Hello! Please give me some advice - have looked at Hotel Laurus, Beacci Tornabuoni, Continential, and Plaza Lucchsei. Need something clean, bathroom ensuite, close to stuff - I finally decided on La Calcina for Venice and Hotel Barocco in Rome so after this I am done!! Thanks,

I can vouch for Beacci Tornabuoni, great location, nice rooms and wounderful roof terrace to enjoy breakfast.
Do a search here under Beacci Tornabuoni, there are literally 100's of posts.

Hi Sophie. Try doing a search for Florence hotels. This question is asked all the time so you may not get too many responses. Have a wonderful trip!

Hi SophieD, My wife and I are staying at monasteries/convents for our trip to Italy. The one in Florence is: Casa Santo Nome di Gesu. Email: [email protected]

It's 66 euros per night & includes breakfast. They also have dinner there for about 12-13 euros.

Hope this helps. Ken Lansing

Good afternoon, Sophie
Hve used the HOTEL CONTINENTAL, eight times since 1978 and have found it to
be an exellant hotel with excellant staff, front rooms face the Arno, good
viewand being in an excellant location
at the northend of the Ponte Vecchio.
The only drawback is that front rooms
can be noisy at times because traffic
on the Lungarno, excellant ristorantes
are located a block away...

We stayed at the Lucchesi last May and loved it. It was the largest and prettiest room we had between Rome, Venice and Florence. Try to get a room on the fourth floor facing the Santa Croce with a balcony. Heavenly. Also a great location - we walked almost everywhere from there. Staff was also very helpful.

We stayed at Beacci Tornabuoni in late May and were very happy with it. The rooms are nice, the location is very good, and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooftop dining is a wonderful way to start each day with a convenient and good breakfast in a very nice setting. If you have any further questions about it, post here and we will answer.
