3 nights in Paris
We only have 3 nights in Paris, so want to make the most of our time there. What are the must sees, allowing time to just people watch.

Hi D,
Look at <Paris> under "destinations". ((I)) |

Sorry, but I have to agree with Ira. The best thing you can do is to read past posts on this site. My daughter and I were in Paris in March for 4 nights, three full days. And reading trip reports and previous posts here was invaluable for helping us make the most of that time. (My trip report here is "A Tale of Two Trips: Ireland as a Visitor, Paris as a Tourist.)
I also recommend that you pick up at least one good guide book. I used Frommer's Paris on $95 a Day and an old (2004) Rick Steves Paris. After you've done some research, come back with specific questions and people here will be more than happy to help you. |
I would pick a very centrally located hotel in the 5th or 6th.
Our planning method was each day we would head to one main landmark (say the Eiffel Tower) then walk across the city the rest of the day, heading back to our hotel in the 5th, stopping to eat or drink, and seeing other things along the way. We used a free paper map we picked up in the hotel lobby along with one guidebook we looked at over breakfast before we started out. |
Thank you for your help. Because we are in Paris for such a short time I don't want to miss anything but obviously that is impossible, so will do as Suze says and aim for one major landmark each day and explore by foot, which is the best way to see the real city.
