3 nights in Nice

We have 3 nights in Nice without a car. We have 2 days to tour outside Nice. We plan to take the train to Menton,Monaco, Villefranche
Hope to also visit
Eze, Vence, St Paul de Vence if possible. Anywhere else?

Is this doable or should we consider something else? Should we take the train one way and bus another?

Thank you

Grasse is an all-time favourite, but not reachable by train. I believe there is a good bus service. Also the old part of Antibes on the way to Cannes.

Keep some time to see Nice itself.

I agree, keep one day for Nice to see old town and walk promenade. One day you can go east. The bus to Monaco (100) is nice but slow and can get very crowded. If you take that toward Monaco, go early otherwise it can be difficult to get on. You might want to take train east and bus back to Nice. For one day, you need to narrow down places to see. Eze is not on train or 100 bus route without long uphill walk. I think perhaps Monaco - just to say you've been there - and Villefranche would be my picks.

For other day, again a choice between west (Cannes and Antibes) or north (St Paul, Vence). Cannes and Antibes easy train and stations very convenient. St Paul bus takes close to hour I think but it is nice to see - though can be crowded in summer so go early. A suggestion on way back on bus is to stop in Cagnes sur Mer and take free bus to Haut de Cagnes. It is often overlooked and is a beautiful perched village that is not overrun by tourists. Almost no shops but loads of restaurants or place to sit out with glass of wine.

There is train to Grasse but a little walk from train station into center. I think you may have enough closer to Nice to see but just my opinion.

Thank you for your ideas. We will spend a day in Nice . Maybe train one day and bus the other.
