Darn - I just checked the class at PCC and it started June 29th. There is one that starts July 26th, but not with Anne. I wonder if this other lady is as good, hmm, I think I will call PCC tomorrow for more information. Thanks for the tip.

I think we will go with Battle Bus, I have read several good reviews, plus it is much cheaper than the 270euros I was quoted for the private guide.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for topping this. mms, you seem to have had a wonderful trip. We're planning a trip to Paris/Normandy in the fall, and this is a lot of good information!

Loved your report. I am glad to learn that I am not the only person who goes nuts over Paris purses. I always seem to bring home at least three or four new ones. I am not quite your mother's age, but have fallen asleep at the Bastille during an opera. My daughter was horrified and keep jabbing me in the ribs. Thanks for taking the time to write your report.

benitakaren--Thanks. I was gutting our closet today and totally reorgnizing. The purses from our trips are the first things to be done...priorities, you know

Just finished reading, mms. What a delightful trip report. Having done the mother-daughter Paris trip in September 2006, I can truly appreciate the joy of your trip. My mother fell asleep on the Open Tour bus and she never did like the whole money thing. She said she just doubled the price and then figured it was "just a bit less".

We leave again for our second trip April 24th. This time we are celebrating my 50th birthday and her belated 50th anniversary. I took many notes from your report to add to my itinerary. Thank you for such accurate details!

Dejais--Thank you Too funny about our moms.

BTW, some of the really good black and white pics that DD took, I just got enlarged and framed. Wow!!! I love having them on the walls as it is a constant reminder of the trip. Already planning on going back next year!

mms....I know what you mean. Mom and I thought our first trip would be our only trip. But as soon as we got back, we talked hubby into another one.

If you have time, search for "Dejais' London and Paris Trip Report or How Mom was a trooper despite a rough landing into nettles!" It's a bit long but I think very fun to read. You will see the similarities between our moms right away.

Dejais--OMG!!! Maybe my mom was really a triplet...she already had a twin Truly, I cannot believe how alike our moms are, and how similar the trips were. Your report was so much fun to read, thank you!

mms...See??? I normally wouldn't "self-advertise" for someone to go read my report but your mom was SO MUCH LIKE MINE! So glad you enjoyed it.

ShellyM...Mom and I leave in six weeks! Have a great trip!

dejais -- How cool! Maybe my mom and I will pass you and your mom there.

If you see two women sitting in a cafe, speaking their entire French vocabulary -- "Bonjour. Merci." -- and looking totally happy and relaxed, that will be us. (Especially if our hair looks terrible on account of the fact that we're too dumb to figure out the blowdryer/dual voltage/adapter plug thing.)
