3 days in Nice!

I'm very excited about being in the south of France for a few days. Some questions about Nice:

- I've read that the flower markets are daily. When is the antique market? Any other ones throughout the week?

- Best way to rent a car? Should I get one before I leave or do it there?

- I'm planning a day trip to Aix. I can't decide if I should stay in Aix for one of the nights or if I should just drive back to Nice as the base each day. Out of all the cities in Provence, I like Aix the best and only have time to go to one.

- Anything else I can't miss while in Nice?

Thanks!

Aix En Provence is a long way from Nice for a day trip. With only a few days in Nice you would do better to visit closer town such as:

Villfranche Sur Mer
Village of Eze
Monte Carlo
Menton
La Turbie
Antibes
St.Paul de Vence
and more

There is more to do in Nice than you will be able to do in a few days depending on what a few days means.

According to google maps, Aix is 2 hours by car. I don't really need to go to the ocean (I'm from a coastal area). Even if I stay one night in Aix, would it still not be enough time?
I realize I don't have nearly enough time to really explore either one of these places well, but I'm hoping to see both so I'm trying to balance it out. Would you advise me to give up on Aix and just get as much as I can out of Nice?

Old Town in Nice is a nice walk through. At night, there is entertainment at the square. Just deep valuables under wraps. I found a Mexican band there playing music and bought a cd. Go figure. Bus trips to Monte Carlo, Grasse, etc. are 1 euro each way. Cheaper than driving.

There is a vegetable, flower and and fish market each morning : http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel...hops-BR-1.html

Just be careful with your money and passport, etc. There are a lot of pickpockets in Nice, esp. on the tram and at the train station.

Fanweiyi, let's not forget the fabulous museums in Nice and surrounds including those featuring Chagall, Matisse, and Picasso - a veritable feast for art lovers.
