3 Days in Italy
I am traveling through Europe via Eurorail in August and am spending 3 days in Italy. I am going to Venice, Florence and then to Rome. I wanted to know where to find a nice place to stay for around 50-100 dollars. I am traveling by myself and am open to suggestions on restaurants to eat at and tours to take.

How are you going to "do" Venice, Florence, and Rome in three days?
|
I will actually be there in each city for a day and a half. It isn't much time but I plan to cover the main sites. It will be rushed and am looking for some good advise from readers. Any help is appreciated.

If you're serious, you might want to consider rearranging your schedule and going to Venice, then Rome, then Florence. The advantage to this is that you could take the overnight train from Venice to Rome (leaves daily from Venice Sta. Lucia at 23:32, gets to Rome Tiburtina at 7:02). That will give you a little more time for sightseeing than if you have to take a day train from Venice to Florence.

I have already made a change. I cut out Florence. I am spending 2 days in Venice and a day and a half in Rome. Any suggestions on walking tours, Hotels and Restaurants?
|
Does anyone have advise in what to do in Venice and Rome. Any advise on Hotels, Restaurants and Walking Tours would be appreciated.

Paul,

Do yourself a favor and spend more time in Rome and or Florence. Venice can be seen in 1/2 a day.

Ross. :-)
