3 days in Cyprus
Can anyone advice the best area in Cyprus to trip for 3 days?
|
What time of year? What do you like doing, looking at ancient ruins etc? Are you staying in the occupied territory or the Republic? Hard to recommend anything when you provide almost no info.
|
Thank you Odin, I will be in Cyprus next month with my family, just short vacation, want to know the best area for tourist,
|
If you're looking for a family beach type holiday and in the Greek part of the island, it depends on where you're flying into and with a short stay stay close to the airport. Paphos, then stay in Paphos, Larnaca etc., etc. They all have a big choice of hotels and restaurants, good beaches close by.
|
If you fly to Larnaca you can stay close to or in Ayia Napa or Protaras, assuming you want beach time. If you fly to Paphos, you’ll want to stay in that area or Pissouri or even Limassol with its tourist strip accessible from both airports.
If you want a break in the mountains, Platres is a good area or Lysos. If you want a short stay in a village, there are plenty I can suggest. |
As above, tell us in which of the 3 international airports you will land and if you prefer hiking, medieval cities, ancient sites, castles, museums, small hotels or holiday flats near beaches or huge beach resorts.

Thanks for all, I have 2 options for my flight to Cyprus, to Larnaca or Paphos
So I'd like to visit historical places and one day to rest at beach |
You can stay near Paphos, at Coral Bay which is a nice beach area and sightsee around Paphos, maybe see the mosaics, tombs of the Kings, Paphos harbour castle. There are some great hotels in Paphos itself, for instance the Annabelle but the beaches tend not to be great ie a bit rocky.
Or you can stay in Limassol, the beaches are better and visit historical sights eg Curium, Kolossi Castle, you could drive to Paphos for sightseeing. There are other historical sights in the occupied part of the island too. |
