3-day Trip to Glasgow

I will be in Glasgow for 3-4 days in Oct. & was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to stay while I use it as a base from some day trips that I intend to take. Or should I just stay there 1-2 days & then venture somewhere else? I won't be driving.

Thanks

The best hotel in Glasgow, IMHO, is malmaison. It is centrally located and reasonable.

I guess I kind of need a budget or style preference?

Thanks - but it really doesn't matter how much it costs (within reason). I just want a great place to stay, I checked out Malmaison & it looks wonderful.
Any ideas if I should stay in Glasgow or venture out?

If it really doesn't matter there's only one answer

One Devonshire Gardens. In a league of its own.

The Arthouse and Lang's are in te same league as Malmaison. Have a great trip. i have some stuff on Glasgow in Word, if you want it sent.
