3 day side trip from PRAGUE
 

Hi fellow fodorites,

I'm just wondering if I had 3 days for a side trip in Prague, would a side trip to another European country be just a little much (such as a plane ride to Switzerland or Germany), or would you recommend staying in Czech Republic and exploring some of the other areas? Any recommendations?

I'm going to go ahead and tag this. I'm interested as well.
I'm thinking about Dresden myself. But I've been there so maybe some place I haven't else.

Why would it be "a little much?" If you fly out early you'll be at your next destination by noon. I am planning to see three or four cities during my next trip, and if I plot it right travel will be (almost) painless.

If you don't want to fly you could take a train or bus to Cesky Krumlov and stay there a couple days -- it's not far from Prague and you could continue your exploration of the Czech Republic. It's up to you!

There's lots to see with the Czech Republic. Here are a few of the places we really enjoyed.
