My 2 cents, two options:

1. Rome

2. Heathrow to Rome on 3/28, private driver to Sorrento, stay Sorrento
On 4/2 take an early train from Sorrento to Naples (the Campania Express, https://www.sorrentoinsider.com/en/c...train-schedule, looks like an option for your dates) and the Frecciarossa (comfy) from Naples to Rome. Stay in the Pantheon (magic)/Piazza Navona area.

Sorrento: very pretty, an easy peasy kind of place, some hotels with views of the Bay of Naples/Vesuvius
Excellent hub for day trips, including the Amalfi Coast, depending on weather.
The Amalfi Coast is drop dead gorgeous but the logistics of getting around are significantly more challenging.

Be aware that the average temps for Sorrento/Amalfi Coast for your dates are significantly cooler than Miami or even Charleston SC.

And Happy Anniversary!

The Easyjet London to Naples flight departs from LTN. That is Luton.

I would never in a million years make this trip. It's March - that should set off alarm bells for visiting the Amalfi coast right from the start. People in southern Europe tend to set their annual clocks by Easter - before it, they are on vacation, closed, or not really concerned about business. After it, they ramp up. And the weather can be godawful.

No matter how you slice it, this trip will be all about logistics, racing for airplanes and whatnot, dealing with detours and workarounds because of horrible weather, checking in, checking out - the last things I'd be wanting to do for a special occasion.

There are SO very many things you could substitute for the Amalfi coast without putting yourselves through this mess.
