We got our tickets today, May 3 - May 12. UPS called and delivered later in the day. I can't remember the last time I had paper tickets. I'm getting really excited now.

Thanks so much. I think that those will be planes loaded with very happy passengers.

Check the posts above. I received my tickets UPS and they required a signature. UPS called before they delivered to make sure that someone would be home. So far, no scam.

There are 3 of us in St. Louis who booked this also for May 3. I noticed the airfare is at $599 now...down from $899! Do any of you know what type of plane we are flying on? We're flying into Rome then taking a train to Florence for the week. LOVE Italy!!

I don't know the type of plane but the seat configuration is 2-4-2.

Get to the airport early for a good seat!

They fly Airbus 330-220. They say they are new planes with seatback screens.

You guys are so lucky - $299 return to Europe. AND just a couple of hours away too - I'd take it just for a weekend.

Downunder we pay I suppose, around an average of $2000 return and it takes approximately 24 - 30 hours to get there.

Oh do have fun and think of us poor folk who are very envious.

When I retire, my husband and I can take advantage of deals like this. Right now, we do mainly summer travel to Europe and tickets (not to mention hotels or apartments) are expensive! It doesn't stop us, but it would be great to travel once in a while knowing the tickets were a such a deal!

Have fun, everyone!

Thanks for the good wishes to everyone. I hope to travel alot more when I retire. Who knows when that will be. I work in a school, but I don't teach and can take time off during the school year, hence I can take advantage of these great offers. We are fortunate to be so close to Europe by air, especially in the Northeast. I'm counting the days. My son is heading off to England, Rome and Madrid tomorrow. I'm asking him to check out the spots where we are staying in Rome.

The price for July is $739+70, still a great deal. Can someone tell me the differences between this airline and others like AA, Copntinental in terms of safety, services, insurance etc. Thanks very much.

I looked up everything I could on the internet about eurofly. They seem like an upstanding company with a perfect safety record and new airplanes. I am definitely willing to take a chance with them. AA is pretty terrible in my experiences with them. It will be an adventure; a good one, I am sure.

Thanks. I also noticed their airplanes are relatively new. But I think it's equally important to have experienced pilots.

I tried to check their current flight schedules but found none. I wanted to get a sense of how on-time their flights were and etc.

No $299 deals for summer and even $739 deals are sold out or removed. So I probably will have to buy ticket elesewherer.

Update on our JFK - FCO flight on Eurofly last week:

Check in is open at JFK 4 hours in advance of departure per gate staff. We arrived at 7:15 pm for our 9:45 pm flight and about 75% of the plane had already checked-in. I requested that my husband and I be seated in one of the 2 seaters (plane configuration is 2-4-2) but all of these were already assigned. The agent was very kind and gave us bulkhead seats since we couldn't get our first choice.

Check in at FCO was interesting and people were also lined up there about four hours ahead. Although, once things got underway, I'm not really sure there was a great advantage to doing this.

Flight:
** Friendly and helpful staff.
** Ok food, it is airline food after all.
** Good choice of movies on the entertainment system.
** Seats felt narrow to me compared to Air France/Delta our usual carriers but not significantly so.

I hope this information is helpful and that everyone has as wonderful a trip as we did. This was our 3rd trip to Rome and I think I may now like it as much as my beloved Paris~

Thanks for updating, mvor. I've been watching Eurofly fares for a while and wondering about peoples' experiences flying with them. It is great to get a review!
