24 hours in the Big Smoke

Up until 2 years ago, I used to fly to London about every 10 days, usually arrived 8, took care of business, depart 4 same day, arrive back JFK mid afternoon. That would be 8 hours in London so 24 sounds like an extended layover! Also used to get to take Concorde some times, now that was SCHWEEET!

Are you crazy, are you nuts?...how would we know! I gather from other posters who seem familiar with you that you know London so would just be doing this as a mileage run or something, so go for it. Believe me, there is a giant tribe of us road warriors out here (like Jim says, check out some of the feats on Flyertalk!)

PS: What east coast city are you from that you'd call London Big Smoke?

fflyer: I think Flygirl called it the Big Smoke because she's spent some time in London, and knows the British nickname.

The name has been used for MANY years (centuries?). If you want to find out why, then you could read "The Big Smoke" by P Brimblecombe, 1987.
