24 hours for wine tasting within 2 hours of MXP
 

Good day everyone

If you loved heavier red wine's and had roughly 24 hours to spend in wine country, where would you go? Preferably within 2 hours of MXP / Milan airport which is why I'm looking at Barolo or Barbaresco but open for suggestions. My wife and I will be in northern Italy for a couple weeks in October and found an extra day to explore. Instead of extending our stay in Cannobio, we've decided to go check out a vineyard or two.

Go to Madonna di Como to the Pietro Rinaldi Winery. It a few miles west of Alba in the Langhe area of the Piemonte. We had a wonderful visit to this winery.
