Certainly not cheap, but a great deal for those who will only fly business class.

I said earlier that I can't rant on this Friday but $2 grand for a ticket to Ireland when I can get a ticket to London for $200? I don't really care if it's Business or not - I only like Business if it's on FF miles or an upgrade - sorry - it's my Friday rant and my cold too!

Continental has been having a sale of First Class seats. I booked it from my local airport in Southern California to London for less than $2,000.
My rationale here was that an Economy ticket was $1,000 to $1,200 from Ontario CA. No sales in Economy. Going to LAX wasn't that much cheaper and was a lot more inconvenient.
My traveling companion has bad back problems, and he would probably not be able to walk if we had been in Economy seats. He didn't want me to spend the money (double the cost), but since it is probably going to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, I thought it was worthwhile to pay the extra $1,000 per ticket.
Just my two cents worth . . .

My last 6 trips to London came to less than $2000. I flew LA to Dublin Jan 03 for $315. The most I have ever paid to fly to Europe was $525 and that was my first trip in 1995. I have always paid less since then. $2000 for a ticket to Europe is a monumental waste of money IMHO.

Well, but couldn't you say the same thing about any luxury purchase - goods or services? A car's a car - so why buy the Mercedes when all it has to do is get you there? Same thing, I think. That said, until the lottery-based retirement plan pays off, I wouldn't actually buy a seat in business class.
I can't help thinking of it like this: What if they came to me at work and said "Sitting here 8 hours per day is uncomfortable. What if we rolled in a Laz-E-Boy for you to use for tomorrow only. In exchange for this perk, we won't be paying you this week." Now, if I ask myself if I'd work all week for free so that I could sit in a semi-comfy chair for 8 hours (but still in lousy surroundings) it's an easy choice. Uh, no. But I'll sit in it once in awhile for nothing. (FF miles)
