2 week honeymoon in Turkey

Jump to last reply

This question may have been asked multiple times, but probably not by someone as uncultured or less traveled than me hah. So I'm getting married this November/December (haven't settled on a date yet) and we're planning our honeymoon for sometime in winter. We're looking at multiple regions of the world (suggestions welcome!) and we're interested in Turkey.

Due to job considerations, we're both limited to a two-week vacation and we would like a bit of both relaxing days mixed with active days. My two-week itinerary plan is as follows:
Istanbul (5 days)
Fly to Izmir and visit Ephesus (2 days)
Bus down to Bordrum (3 days)
Fly to Antalya (2 days)
Back to Istanbul to return

Is this too hectic of a itinerary to complete in 2 weeks, and would visiting both Bordrum and Antalya be redundant (should we skip one)? Would there be better cities/places to visit? And are those enough days to reasonably relax yet also visit key places in those cities? I greatly appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.
