2 Nights in Athens
 

With just a couple of days in Athens where do you recommend we stay?

What do you plan to do in Athens?
Where will you come from and at which time?
Where will you go to and at which time?

For some reason you start two identical topics -- I'd ask the moderators to delete one - or at least combine then into one thread

Under those circumstances, most folks would stay in the Plaka near the Akropoli metro.

We're coming from 3 days ea in Santorini and Paros. We only have a day and a half and would surely visit the Acropolis and a museum. Enjoying the sights and a bit of shopping will fill in the rest of the short visit. Thanks for your suggestions!

I would humbly suggest the Royal Olympic Hotel. It is close to everything, and centrally located. It has the best breakfast buffet in Athens (included in your stay), on their rooftop, with a wonderful view of the Acropolis, and city in general.

If you come by metro from Piraeus, go by metro to the airport 2 days later and want to be in foot distance to Plaka and Akropollis, your best stay is between Monastirion and Syntagma. My preferred hoel there is Hermes at Apollonos. But there are dozens others.
