2 more questions about PARIS!

Hi Everybody!

1) We will definitely be visiting ST. CHAPPELLE on our Paris trip. How do we find out about attending a concert there? Is it posted on a website somewhere?

2) Has anyone used the airport shuttle www.beeshuttle.com? I found a great price there and was wondering if anyone has had a good/bad experience with them.

Many thanks,
Betty

Hi bo,

We used them our last visit. We were pleased with the service.

If the driver discovers that he doesn't have the charge card machine, insist on payment by charge card only. Tell him/her to call the office.

It's a scam common to all drivers. They get cash from you and tell the boss that you didn't show.

Visit the website www.ampconcerts.com for some Ste Chapelle concerts. I believe there are other concerts not listed at this site. You can usually get tickets once you get to Paris.

We visited St Chappelle during the day and got the concert schedule there at that time. ampconcerts.com is the website that we used ..

Hi Ira,

Did the Bee Shuttle drivers try to trick you into paying cash? That's not a good sign. I would hate to fight with a driver after a long flight. Thanks for your input.

mamc, travelnut and Scarlett: Thanks for the St. Chappelle info!

The driver for another (now defunct?) shuttle tried to tell me 'no machine' when we got out at CDG...well, I thought, I'm at the airport, got my bag in hand..hmm, sounds like YOUR problem..I suggested he call his office, and "voila", they could take my c.c.# over the phone. It was a 'miracle'.

Travelnut,

Hmmmm...sounds like I'm hearing 50% positive reviews for the Bee shuttle, and 50% negative!

Good for you, though, for sticking up for yourself!

bettyo70, we have not tried Beeshuttle, but we have used Paris Shuttle twice. The fare was 36E round trip each, so 72E for the two of us. We paid in advance online so no issues of paying the driver. www.parishuttle.com

I have a question is this paris shuttle
the same as the Airfrance shuttle serv.
So, Should I pay cash or not?
I have not reserve anything yet.
I was told by the airline about their
shuttle. Thanks.

I just got back from Paris last night and I used Bee Shuttle and I was very happy with them. They charged 24€ from my apartment in Montmartre to CDG. This was the first time I used them, in the past I used Paris Shuttle, but I could not contact them, they might be out of business. One other lady in the shuttle was charged only 22€ because she used them to pick her up at the airport also.

Randy May 9th, 2005 01:57 PM

I paid in cash and so did the other lady. I did not ask about using a credit card.

Thanks, Allison and Randi! I'm feeling a little more reassured now...

Mile: I think the Air France shuttle is something totally different. Bee Shuttle and Paris Shuttle are independent companies.

THANK YOU! Betty070.
The airfrance shuttle charges only
11 Euros. Check it out.

Is there actually an Air France shuttle? I'm only aware of buses that take you to one of several terminals in Paris, from which you have to make your own way to your hotel.

bettyo70 May 9th, 2005 04:12 PM

Yes, if anyone has more info about AIR FRANCE'S airport shuttle -- where you board and where it drops you off -- please post here.

Thanks!

Assuming you are still staying in the Marias, you would take the #4 AF bus to the Gare de Lyon [12€ per person].

bettyo70 May 10th, 2005 03:47 AM

Hi Ron,

Do you mean that I can get the #4 AF bus ouside of CDG and take it to Gare du Lyon?

Thanks.

Robespierre May 10th, 2005 04:13 AM

Yes, yes, and yes.
