2 Ireland questions
My sister will be going to Ireland next May and then meeting me in Barcelona. She will need to stay in an inexpensive hotel near the Dublin airport overnight on her way back to SF to catch an early flight. Any suggestions for such a hotel? Also she needs to fly from Dublin to Barcelona. Dooes anyone know of any discount airlines that travel this route? She only needs a 1 way fare which I know sometimes is more expensive. Any help much appreciated!

hi,
Aer Lingus operates Dublin Barcelona - not sure if it's every day, and the price could be high. Iberia may well do the same route.
There are several hotels in dublin airport, including a Holiday Inn and a Posthouse Forte. Try this link:
http://dublin.airporthotelguide.com

Colleen,

Try Aerlingus for the flight but also check out going via london on one of the cheapie airlines like "GO" or "easyjet". There are many B&B's in Clontarf and she could get a taxi from there to the airport. Clontarf is on the north side of Dublin and a lovely area for a walk in the evening. Malahide is a beautil town closer to the airport and like a quaint village with shops, cafes etc and on the sea. Check B&B's there as this would be my favourite without staying at the airport and once again a taxi to the airport. As well the airport hotels mentioned are fine but there is nothing to do around the area. It's handy if she is only there for a quick night.
