2 Days in Milan - a Sunday and a Monday
I'm going to be in Milan in October for only 2 days - a Sunday and a Monday. Looking for suggestions on how best to spend my time knowing that many museums are closed on Mondays.
|
I would go to see the Duomo, walk to the Castello Sforzesco and to Santa maria delle Grazie (to see the last supper. Book the visit ahead though) and if you feel like it also visit Brera Academy (if you like paintings) on Sunday. On monday I would just go shopping in the area around the Duomo (via Dante, the Galleria, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Torino, Via Montenapoleone).

i'd skip the duomo and galleria area until monday. do the brera museum and walk the brera area on sunday when the open air flea market will probably be open. it's really a nice walk with lots of cafes
|
Or you can take a day trip to Lake Como. The lake is beautiful, and it is open 24/7 :)

Hi
My wife and I stayed a few days in Milan in June last year. I have posted a trip report with some pictures on my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com. Maybe you can find some useful information there :-) Get in touch if you have questions or comments. Regards Gard Stavanger, Norway |
If food is your thing, do not miss Peck's. First go to the retail store, just to admire the choices. Make reservations in the restaraunt for an unforgettable meal.

Thanks so much for all the advice! I love flea markets so that may just be the thing for Sunday morning.

Have 10:30 reservation for the Last Supper in November with a 1pm flight out from Linate on Easyjet. How long is the visit and do they have somewhere to leave luggage?
Any advise will be appreciated. |
