If you like/love history, Westminster Abby is my vote. I could have stood for hours looking at all those names from the history books. Only lunch reservations at a very expensive restaurant pulled me away. Probably my favorite place followed by the site (can't remember which museum/building) where the allies holed up during WWII.

The site damama refers to is the Cabinet War Rooms, which is very near Westminster Abbey and can easily be combined with a visit there for a look at both the more recent and the more distant past.

Without knowing what you like?
I would see Westminster Abbey and adjacent houses of Parliament, Tower of London,. Trafalgar Square, a West End Show, British Museum and a cruise on the Thames.

The National Gallery is one of the worlds best art musuem. It is centralled located right off Trafalgar Square. Ive been to The National Gallery over 10 times now and it gets better each time. Go see it! Also,I highly recommend the Tower of London. I've been there twice. Walk around Covent Garden and go to St. Pauls Cathedral

I'm sorry, and w/o being too rude - this is a VERY lazy question. No one can possibly give you ANY sort of useful advice unless you give us some more info (and hopefully do some research on your own)
At minimum:
What time of year?
What sorts of things interest you? (For one person Harrods is a "must", for others, they'd be very happy if they never stepped foot in the place)
There are literally hundreds of threads here about what to see in London plus the city guide - look over some of them and then come back with a little more focus.
