2 Beds in Room-Twin or Double?
I read somewhere that the British use the term "twin" to mean 2 beds. Double means 2 persons / 1 bed.
We need 2 beds and I want to make sure that's what we get. Thanks. |
Go for it!

In Britain, the beds for 2 persons are called "Siamese twin beds". (LOL!)
|
What I do is request a twin room and immediately follow it with (2 persons/2 beds). That way, no matter what the term the hotel will know how many beds you want.
|
Yes, if you want two beds for two persons in the room, just say that.
|
Usually on a reservation request there is a place to indicate...2 persons......then another spot to choose "twin'......it's always worked for me!!!!
I always ask for twin....the room is usually larger & most of the time you can shove the beds together if you want to share the bed!! |
And sometimes you will see a room listed as "double twin" This means it is two twin-sized beds that can be zipped together to form one large bed or zipped apart for two single beds.
