2 Beds in Room-Twin or Double?

I read somewhere that the British use the term "twin" to mean 2 beds. Double means 2 persons / 1 bed.
We need 2 beds and I want to make sure that's what we get.
Thanks.

In Britain, the beds for 2 persons are called "Siamese twin beds". (LOL!)

What I do is request a twin room and immediately follow it with (2 persons/2 beds). That way, no matter what the term the hotel will know how many beds you want.

Yes, if you want two beds for two persons in the room, just say that.

Usually on a reservation request there is a place to indicate...2 persons......then another spot to choose "twin'......it's always worked for me!!!!
I always ask for twin....the room is usually larger & most of the time you can shove the beds together if you want to share the bed!!

And sometimes you will see a room listed as "double twin" This means it is two twin-sized beds that can be zipped together to form one large bed or zipped apart for two single beds.
