Great info, MissPrism. I can't get the train map to download. Do you know what zone Hampton Court is in?

I've skipped a lot so sorry if I repeat anything. I hope you will have the time to savor John Singer Sargent's "Gassed" painting at the War Museum. It is 20' wide and shows the blinded by mustard gas WWI soldiers in a line. Look at the background as well.

My DH and I used the HOHO bus quite a few times to get a feel for a city. We stayed on for one full pass and then got off for something that called out. Our big problem was the huge crowd at Notre Dame (in Paris!)--the bus got full and folks had to wait and wait for the next one. Start early in the day.

You might find that British Museum, British Library and Westminster Abbey in one day are too much. Maybe hop off at one of those on you HOHO day? OR go to your #1 choice first.

Have a super time, wannabgoin! And please share your experiences with everyone.

Here's my 2016 TR FYI: Madrid and London

Hampton court is unfortunately not in the Potteresque "last zone" but zone 6, wonderful
