1st timer - Hostellerie de Crillon Le Brave

Hi,

My husband and I are planning our first trip to Provence and were thinking of staying the Hostellerie de Crillon Le Brave. We were wondering if it is possible to take day trips to the Luberon - or are they too far away for a day trip? Also, any thoughts on Hostellerie de Crillon Le Brave are welcomed.
Thank you!

It's a favorite of mine. You can take day trips to the Luberon, an easy drive but about maybe two hours. I don't drive so it's difficult for me to say exactly. My husband usually drives me to Lourmarin and Bonnieux for some favorite spots. The staff is very nice. There's a less expensive dining room on the lower terravs. The views are wonderful.

abvk, (terrace) my husband says it's only an hours drive to the Luberon.
The Hostellerie takes up most of this tiny village built on terraces, one has the dining room, another the swimming pool, another the bistro.

We were favorably impressed with Hostellerie Crillon le Brave, one of the more upscale places in the Vaucluse, if not all of Provence. It dominates the village and has very nice views from the upper terraces and the restaurant is one of the best in the area, as it should be for the price...Relais et Chateaux don't come cheap unfortunately.

The restaurant on the lower terrace is
"La Boulangerie" and you need reservations 'cause it's small.
It's much more casual than the one
in C-l-B but sitting on the terrace
of an evening looking towards Ventoux
is a marvellous thing to do! Plus the
food is great!

Thank you so much for your info. Do you feel that 3-4 days at the Hostellerie de Crillon Le Brave is enough time? We would like to explore the Luberon, Isle-sur-la-sorge and the Rhone Valley wine villages. Also, we would like to do 2-3 days in Paris. We both have been to Paris before and are looking for hotel and restuaruant suggestions that are not so "touristy" and/or are in interesting off the beaten-track locations? Thanks.
