My wife and I are planing our 1st European Vacation and hope to include Venice followed by Paris. I'd love to hear more about Venice, and rail travel between the two areas.

Just read your message on Italy. You mension "hot shops" Are you able to give me a little more info on costs in Italy. Say a meal from this kind of shop? Petrol/Gas prices if we hire a car & any other costs you can provide would help with our budget.
We will be going 28 March to Assissi and then travelling thru Italy to Switzerland.
Do you know what the weather will be like? We will be in Italy for 2 weeks. Thank.
