1800 Fly Europe

Has anyone purchased tickets through 1800 Fly Europe?? I had one recommendation and the prices I'm finding on there compared to some other sites are definately cheaper. I'm just checking to see if anyone knows anything because I want to make sure it's legit before I get too excited. Thanks!

I have been purchasing tickets from 1800flyeurope for about ten years, saving a fortune, getting non-stop flights at convenient times on preferred airlines at very favorable prices. They are friendly and efficient on the phone.

I also buy their trip insurance because it's inexpensive (covers only your airline fares).

They also e-mail you your itinerary and give you 24 hours to look it over and make a final decision. This gives you time to think and also check and re-check your dates and times.

It's a good idea to take a look at plane configurations on www.seatguru.com and select your seats when booking.

Also, once you've received your final confirmation, take note of the airline confirmation number, so you can check from time to time in case of schedule changes and determine the airport terminals for your flights.

This is a huge comfort. I was looking and noticed a note about taxes, departure fees, etc. Said up to x amount of dollars. Then the next page has listed the initially viewed price + taxes. When you hit purchase is there any hidden fees after the fact?? Or is your confirmation and 24 hour e-mail kind of your recheck and make sure everything looks good?? Like if we changed our minds we could cancel? Thanks so much! I'll check out www.seatguru.com as well. I'm not familiar with that site at all.

I always phone, rather than book online.

But, first, I double check fares, the final fares on the next page, with Kayak, ITA Software, directly with the airlines, and determine the plane for the flights and print a seating chart.

Do you double check with Kayak and ITA to make sure you are getting a better rate?? I'm also not completely understanding this seating chart thing. It said that it wouldn't release the airline until after I booked my flight?

If you shop flights on Kayak, etc., you can easily figure out the airlines on 1800flyeurope by the times, etc.

Or, just pick up the phone and call. They will tell you the airlines on the phone. They will also shop dates and other possibilities for you if you like.

Hi isu,

Do not buy your tickets online.

Call them.

You will get airline, flight details, seat assignments, choice of food, AND
they can find flights that aren't on the website.

I just saved $250 on 2 tickets.

"I just saved $250 on 2 tickets." Is that $250 difference from the online price?

I typically save at least $200-250 per ticket with 1800flyeurope versus any other resource AND get non-stop flights at convenient times on preferred airlines.

I've also used them a lot. I just purchased tickets from DFW to Venice from them. I almost always can get a great deal using them. I've purchased them online and also purchased them over the phone. They are really good to deal with.

I just checked to compare fares on 1800flyeurope and United's website for a weekend in December. Same United nonstop flights. United was $25 cheaper. Do you get the carrier's mileage credit when booked on flyeurope?
