17e Arrondissement?

We'll be staying two weeks at the 17th Arrondissemont - a friend of ours is giving us his apartment. I would love to hear from anyone who knows that area.

The 17th Arrondissement is in the northwest of Paris inside the Peripherique [Ring Road] that encompasses Paris. It has the Arc de Triomphe on the west and Montmartre on the east. Lucky you having such a generous friend.

I also stayed at an apartment in this area and thought it was fabulous, but I suppose you should give the exact address or street name to get better info--I think it is a rather large area.

We recently stayed at the Timhotel in the Porte de Clichy area of the 17th. There wasn't too much around the hotel, but right across the street was a metro/RER stop that took us directly to all the major attractions in about 15 minutes.

nice market street on rue de Levis, and there is Parc Monceau - also the Square de Batignolles is really pretty, at least in flowering months.
