17e Arrondissement

We'll be spending two weeks in the 17e Arrondissement, on rue de Tocqueville near rue de Levis. I've heard good things about this 'hood. Does anyone know about the eateries there?
Also, I know about Parc Monceau, but what about Parc Clichy-Batignolles?

Parc Monceau is of absolutely no interest as far as I am concerned, unless you want to see Filipina and African nannies airing the offspring of people who do not have time for children.

The Batignolles-Villiers area is delightful, however. The Square des Batignolles is nice. The Place de Clichy area has a mass of restaurants, many of them good.

I like the Square des Batignolles a lot, also. There's a good club, the Europeen on rue Biot just near Clichy metro (they have concerts there, it's not a dance club that I know, like acoustic music, solo performers, things like that).

rue de Levis is a market street, I believe. Can't help with restaurants, I don't take notes on that.

I spent two weeks in an apartment in the Batignolles neighborhood, which is not far from where you will be staying. I mention a number of local restaurants and bars in my trip report:

The marche biologique on Saturdays on the Boulevard des Batignolles is wonderful.
