15 days itinerary to Europe

Hi all,

I am planning a 15 days trip to visit Europe (5 Adults & 1 Child). Below are places we like to visit:
Berlin, Munich, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Milan, Venice & Rome. But I think that it's too ambitious to visit all places in 15 days, especially with a kid. So I work out 2 itineraries as below:

Itinerary 1:
Day 1-4 Berlin
Day 5-7 Munich
Day 8-9 Milan
Day 10-12 Venice
Day 13-15 Rome

Itinerary 2:
Day 1-3 Berlin
Day 4-6 Munich
Day 7-9 Prague
Day 10-12 Vienna
Day 13-15 Budapest

Any ideas which itinerary is better considering we have one kid travelling with us or any other recommendation?

Latest by when should we book flight/train tickets & accommodations in order to enjoy promotional price if we were to travel in the coming September?

Thanks a lot

Regards,
Raymond

Geographically speaking, if you do itinerary 1, ditch Berlin and spread those days to a couple of the other cities you've chosen.

If you choose itinerary 2, ditch Munich.

I agree that you have one too many cities. Four cities in 15 days (do you have 15 days on the ground?) is still moving fast. You have to remember that each time you change locations, you lose half a day to most of a day in transit. SO the more stops you make, the less time you have for seeing/doing/experiencing the things you came for. If you want a more relaxed trip, choose just three locations.

Now that I've double checked a map, on itinerary 2 you could choose between Munich and Berlin -- do either one but not both.

You are probably already too late for some deals for September. You should be reserving things now and hope you can find what you want in your budget.

Also, how old is the child? That may make a big difference.

And agree 4 cities is plenty in the time you have. Remember it takes from 12 to a full day when you move from one city to another.

Thank you all for the suggestion.

My child is 3 years old.

I have worked out another itinerary below by taking out Munich and Milan and add either island or beach for the last stop:

Itinerary 3:
Day 1-4 Berlin
Day 5-7 Venice
Day 8-11 Rome
Day 12-15 island/beach

looks better on the revised itinerary?

*Still doing research on island/beach..only have 2 locations in my mind now (Capri & Palma)
