15 Days in Europe
My husband and I are planning a December holiday, beginning in Manchester for 2 days and then London for 3-4 days. Any suggestions for other parts of Europe, ending in Paris where we take our return flight home? This will be my husband's 1st trip to Europe. I've been to the major cities like Amsterdam, Barcelona, Munich, vienna and Switzerland but am now looking for something more leisurely. Other than Manchester United FC, wine would be my husband's main interest, not museums!

Pika - How about the Italian South Tyrol?
You could stay in the Dolomites for a lovely pre-Xmas atmosphere - and maybe some snow - in a spectacular setting.
From there you could spend a day on the S. Tyrol 'Wine Route' (Caldaro, Appiano ... etc.).
You could also visit the Xmas markets at Bolzano, Merano, Trento ... or other local ones.
Or ... take a cable-car and hit the 'vin brule' by a log fire in the mountain bars - like I do
Hope this helps ...

Another "wine route" would be to amble down the Moselle and Rhine on excursion boats. Here's a link to one of the steamer lines:

(K-D Line - but not their "partner" companies - are included on Eurail and DB passes.)
