1.5 days in Belgium-Brussels

I will be staying in Brussels for 1.5 days arriving on 2/8, departing in am on 2/10. I am looking for the best sites to see, any suggestions?. Although I am staying in Brussels I am open to do excursions outside the city. This is my first time to Belgium

Any help would be great!!

The Grand' Place and the Horta Museum are, at a minimum, what you should see in Brussels.

Why not start with a little general reading. There are both recent threads on Brussels which will give you some good pointers, as well as destination guides on the website:

http://www.fodors.com/world/europe/belgium/brussels/ (plus any of the other destination guides for Belgium - it's a little place and you can day-trip easily).

When you've got a few more questions come back to us again.

I prefer Brugge and Ghent over Brussels so I'd do 1 day in Brugge and 1/2 day in Brussels.
