14 days trip from rome-switzerland-paris-amsterdam-london

i would like to travel to these places in mid june.can anyone suggest me the best itinerary and the smoothest route with the most cheapest way to travel thank you!

You can travel by train to all of these places. You don't say where you want to go in Switzerland, so it's hard to give specific advice. Between some of these places, especially between Rome and some Swiss city, flying would also be a possibility. However, Paris to Amsterdam, and Amsterdam to London would be more convenient by train.

You can save money on most long-distance train routes if you buy the tickets well in advance. However, the discounted tickets usually can't be changed or refunded.

In 14 days no way - could do Italy and Paris and London at best or 2-3 others at best - anyway for lots of train info check www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.

if your 14 days include travel to and from Europe -- then you do not have nearly enough time for four very major cites plus the country of Switzerland.

If it is 14 days total, then you will only have about 11 days free on the ground to see and do things. Pick three out of your wish list and forget about the rest.

I understood this to be a trip from Rome to London, stopping en route in Switzerland, Paris, and Amsterdam, with time spent in Rome and London not included. In that case, 14 days should be enough time.

I read it that they would like to travel to all those places in 14 days- but even if Rome is not included still too much -travel time of a day between Rome and Switzerland; Switzerland and Paris and Amsterdam to London.

If 14 days between Rome and London then could be:

Rome -Switzerland-Amsterdam-Paris-London with 14 days split between Switzerland, Amsterdam and Paris-yes those three in 14 days would be cool.

If not I agree with janis.

5 countries in 14 days? Sounds very unpleasant and rushed to me. Pick 3. Even that will only give you a glimpse.

On Tuesday they could add Belgium? Seriously if not meaning from Rome and to London -yes three at most- like Rome - fly to Paris and take Eurostar train to London.

Or Rome-Switzerland-Paris

Or Rome fly to Amsterdam, train to Paris.

Agree with neckervd - re bus ove rtrain fares and also with StCirq, what are your interests? it can be time consuming changing so many accommodations and spending time finding them and then to find the attractions you want to see. A week in each of those cities would still be a glimpse.
