14 day Trip Itinerary
 

Was hoping someone could give some advise about the logistics of a 14 day trip in june with London, Paris, Amsterdam and Spain (Barcelona) in mind. Is this doable? Any recommendations on how to go about with public transport? I've read that theres such a thing as a eurail pass, would this be an economical choice? Is it better to fly in to london and fly out from spain? Would love to hear anyones thoughts and appreciate the help.

Those 4 towns are easy with public transport. In particularly, London, Paris and Amsterdam are very well-connected to each other by train (Eurostar from London, Thalys and Eurostar and TGV from Paris etc. )

For flights, yes it's better to fly in the first city and fly out of the last city of your trip (choose mullti-destinations flight when you search for flight). You may choose your first and last city based on the flight cost, the order of the trip, where do you come from,... but in general, into London and out of Spain can work well.

I don't think Eurail pass is economical for you with just 4 towns. That one is rather for a trip with many destinations between.

IMO I think 4 cities in 4 different countries are too many for 14 days. You should count the traveling time, the jet lag time, the time for you to adapt to the new culture, the luggage packing time,... It's doable, but 3 cities will work much better.

I agree with FF here. 4 cities is a lot for 14 days but add in changing country each time and you are going to be pushing it especially adding in Barcelona.

London, Paris and Amsterdam would make a great June trip with easy journeys between them and time for the odd day trip as well.

You will need more than 14 days for a somewhat decent visit of these 4 cities.
Every door to door transfer between them will take at least 5 hours.
Take the train between London - Paris - Amsterdam and the plane for the move to Barcelona. Travel in late afternoon/early evening, otherways you will loose a whole day with every transfer.

If your entire trip is 14 days (which I suspect it is) then you will only have 11.5 days on the ground. And from that you will need to subtract about half a day transport for every move. So if it is actually fourteen days . . . pick 3 of those cities, Fly in to the first one and home from the third (called open jaw or multi-city)

Plan an extra day or two for your first city to allow for jetlag and just getting acclimated.

So for instance -- London maybe 5 days (6 nights) Paris 3.5 days (4 nights) and Amsterdam 1.5 days (2 nights) . . . something like that.

OOPS - meant to add that IF you actually mean 14 days on the ground (a 16 day trip in total) then you could maybe squeeze in a 4th city. But I personally wouldn't.
