travelerjan - thanks for the offer. I will mention it to my group of young travellers. Honestly, this group may be the best I have ever travelled with. They are full of positive energy and enthusiasm.

How will they collect from you if the stay in for more than 10 minutes?

You said THEY, I said The First. He/she can come to Philadelphia and I'll use the €5 to buy him/her dinner at my local Greek restaurant, called (wait for it!) .... Zorba's.

travelerjan - you're right. I wasn't trying to bankrupt you. I'll mention Zorba's to the group to raise the interest level.

We've heard back from our travel agent's connection in Rhodes. The pool at the hotel will not be open in March. We could access the terrace, but this has little appeal to me. This leaves us with the initial plan suggested by so many posters above ... a morning walkabout and exploration time, followed by lunch on the ship, then a layabout afternoon on the ship ... or a visit to the hamaam. I think I'll try the hamaam. Thanks everyone for their contributions.

rho_64 - thank you. The website is easy to use and easy to understand. It appears most of the city busses have a "loop route". This might allow us to explore for a while and return to our starting point.
