11 days in Andalusia

Hello!

I am planning a trip to Andalusia in November. We have 11 full days to explore.

3 nights in Granada
1 night in Ronda
3 nights in Seville (is 3 days, 3 nights good enough?)
1 night in Cordoba
1 night in Segovia (only half an hour from Madrid, we really want to check out the Alcazar)
1 night in Madrid (one of us has already been and the other prefers to visit Segovia more)

We are flying out of Madrid, so we will stay in Madrid on our last night (at least). We will stay 2 nights if we decide not go visit Segovia...

What do you all think about this itinerary? Thanks in advance!

How are you moving from place to place? Have you plotted the actual itinerary including travel time, hotel check-in, etc? Not much time for seeing things on the 1 nighters. One in Ronda is enough but I'd rethink the other 3.

I'd do
2 nights Granada
1 afternoon Ronda
3 nights Seville
1 night Cordoba
1 night Segovia
1 night Toledo
3 nights Madrid

When I saw your post's title, I thought: Perfect! And then I realized that you are trying to fit nights in Madrid and Segovia in with your time in Andalusia. So the good news -- you'll see some wonderful things. The bad news: You might have some challenges fitting it all in.

I wanted nearly 3 days in Granada. I wanted more than 3 full days in Sevilla. I wanted 2 full days in Cordoba. I wanted 2 very full days in Toledo (which Bedar mentioned, but you did not). I thought 1 night in Segovia sufficient. I wanted 4 full days in Madrid -- but it sounds like that's off the table for this trip.

If you haven't already done so, you might want identify the things you most want to see in each location, check their opening/closing times on the internet, and mark them on a calendar. Then pencil in your transportation, add some time on either side (for getting to/from your lodging, checking in/out, packing/unpacking, getting oriented, etc.). Then see how things fit together. You might end up deciding to cut a destination or two.... BTW, note that many things in Spain are closed on Monday, and often for all or part of Sundays too; and many things in Spain will also be closed daily for a very long mid-day break.

Should be a great trip no matter what you decide!

You should also consider 3000 year old Málaga by the Med, "Spain's new creative heart", and Andalucía's "city of culture with its so-called 'mile of art' being compared to Madrid, and its dynamism and fine dining to Barcelona". http://www.cntraveller.com/recommend...u-centre-guide
https://www.lonelyplanet.com/spain/andalucia/malaga

Fabulous food scene, world class museums, great concerts, theaters, and nightlife and full of sights right in the city centre, the Roman theater, the Moorish Alcazaba Palace, the huge cathedral, the Picasso birth house etc. etc.: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/de...pt-secret.html

Málaga is on New York Times' "Places to go" list for 2016 together with Barcelona and San Sebastián, "Beauty, but now a cultural capital, too": http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...isit.html?_r=2

Big international airport and 2h 30 mins from Málaga to Madrid with the high speed AVE train.

Can't wait to come back here again tomorrow ;-)

Personally, I love Granada, but would cut a night from there and add Toledo.
