Will you have a car?

I assume you are doing this by train---correct?

I would not stay in Portofino---too small and too expensive with limited transportation options. Stay in Santa Margherita.

Have you considered staying in the Cinqueterre towns instead of Portofino. We stayed in Vernazza and loved it. Great hiking, food, views, and train connections.

Portofino is beautiful and a great place to have lunch and sit for a couple of hours. Is tiny. expensive, and not much there.

We don't care much for the CT, but any of the towns there would offer more than Portofino.

Having been to all these place more than once. I would do one night in CT or ?. And work Florence in. Is less than an hour from Lucca. Be sure and book inside the city walls at Lucca for the full experience.

Have a good trip.

I agree with the above, don't stay in Portofino, stay in SML instead. Otherwise, looks like a pretty good trip.

I would take one night from Portofino and add it to Lucca. One day for both Lucca and Pisa is not enough for an enjoyable visit - you'd feel rushed.
