€100 in Barcelona? Is it enough?
 

Hello, I am going to Barcelona in September and I am thinking about my budget. I am thinking about taking €100 spending money (the spending money excludes accommodation, museums as I bought a Barcelona Museum Pass with my points but doesn't include Sagrada Familia)... Is €100 enough for four days? I do not drink and I love walking around cities instead of using the Metro as I get a better feel for the city and see more of the city.
I was in Paris earlier in the year and I took €150 for 3 days and I didn't even spend half of it! I thankfully saved over €50 by being under 26 and an EU citizen for admission into major museums and the Pantheons.
Any recommendations for cheap places to eat in Barcelona? I am staying in Gothic Quarter - is this a good location in Barcelona?

E100 might be tight. When you say you don't drink, I'm going with you don't drink alcohol, pity as it might be cheaper than bottled water say.
But based on what you ate in Paris you may be ok.

Think you'll be fine. Do as the locals and have your main meal of the day at lunchtime (from about 1:30 pm), then most restaurants outside the most touristy areas will serve up a great value 3 course and filling Menú del día (Today's menu) for some 8-12€ with drinks and coffee included. Would be plenty of options all around town, but perhaps not so much in the very popular Gothic quarter. I would go into the more local atmosphere and close by Raval and Barceloneta districts, both for food and city vibe. Especially in Raval, you could have all kinds of hearty meals, from kebabs to paellas and grilled chickens, for some 4-6€.

And if you're into the freshest fish and seafood, the five La Paradeta self-service marisquerías are extremely popular and a bargain. You pick what you want, pay at the desk, they prepare the food, then you are called to the counter when your food is ready: http://www.laparadeta.com/

... and the Sopa or Cocido del Día (today's Soup/stew) is almost free and can be sensational in many places, at least when it has been simmering for some hours.

I've had several delicious soups and stews late in the evening in Navia for some 4€. This is the kind of place that local people drop by at any time of day and night, open almost 24/7. It is if you are happy to see things from the outside. Most of the Gaudi attractions, popular museums and galleries etc have a charge (unlike, say, London). Food and drink can be had very cheaply so that shouldn't be an issue. If you are content with walking tours, markets, parks and beaches - which are all lovely - then it should be fine.
