In Seville I stayed in a newer place called Alacantara that was around $75 for a single and Granada was a cute place by the name of Reina Christina that was around the same price. These were for a single room and it was before the dollar took such a huge hit a couple of years ago.
do a search here for Seville hotels and you will see some options then you can go directly to that hotel website. |
Mamc, My Seville- Granada travel dates are May 9- May 13'05.

Sevilla - hotel alcantara. Try www.innsofspain.com or www.hotelalcantara.net
Granada - Hotel Anacapri, at http://www.hotelanacapri.com/ingles/centro_in.htm Both are in good locations, clean, and reasonable. I enjoyed my experiences at both of them. Karen |
Try bancotel.com or petrabrax.com. Good luck.

Another kudo for the Anacapri, and it should definitely be below $100, even with the crappy exchange rate.
Another Granada option is the Dauro li, a Best Western-affiliated property on the very lively pedestrian street called Navas. Its rooms are nicely decorated and fairly spacious, and the marble bathrooms are nice. It's around $100 a night, perhaps less so early in May. |
You may want to check out the Explore Seville web site, which is like off to Maribel’s Guides web page. It should help you in your search for a cheap hotel in Sevilla.

In Granada, I stayed in Hotel Macia Plaza on Plaza Nueva. Fodor recommended that. It was clean and seemed to be secure enough and very convenient to sights. Stayed there in August and paid around $60 or $70.00 give or take...Great location and across from the bus stops that takes you to Alhambra, albayzin, etc. It is common to take the bus to go up the hill. It will be too tiring and time consuming to walk. I asked for a room that did not face the plaza to avoid the noise. Many restaurants and Cafes in the plaza were open till midnight or later which suited me. Don't know about you. In Seville, I stayed in Hotel Amadeus. It was August, so maybe it was less expensive than May. I paid in $60.00 range for a single room. It was a good location and close to everything. I did all my bookings via e-mail. Sometimes I did a mix of calling and e-mailing. |
