Flamenco in Paris

A sister-in-law who has been studying and dancing Flamenco for years is going to Paris for the first time. While browsing on-line she has seen a few flamenco workshops and shows. She is curious if there is any worthwhile Flamenco in Paris. We have been kidding her if she will look for Can-cans show in Sevilla, the next time she is there.

Thank you.

no, barring special productions passing through at some theatre. Of course they have some flamenco classes at some schools, but if she is asking if there is some wellknown place that gives flamenco shows like you find in Spain, no.

you can check for events on FNAC, or see this, there is something occasionally

they seem to have something in May, think that venue is in the 20th arr.

Thanks St. Cirq.

I think my SIL should consider filling her evenings with other activities.

I do too, Adu. Not as though there's a shortage of them.

She might enjoy this, though (NO idea how hokey it might be!):

I pass by that flamenco studio that Christina mentioned all the time and I always hear flamenco guitar or dance classes being given. They always have posters about upcoming events etc. so you might look into it. It's located at 33 rue des Vignoles.

Here's a few other websites I found about flamenco in Paris after a brief google search:

There is a flamenco festival coming to the palais de chaillot very soon. It has been fantastic in years past.
